The total number of alumni is almost 3,000. Since 1946, the three-year diploma program in nursing within the College of Medicine, Seoul National University has had 3,000 graduates. Since 1963, 2,636 students have graduated with B.S. degrees. Among them 56.6% are working as clinical nurses, 13.5% have worked and studied overseas, and 4.5% are professor or researchers. 443 students have graduated with M.S. degrees. Among them, 37.2% are professors and researchers, and 10.4% are working and studying overseas. Considering the trend of highly educated women staying home as housewives in present Korean society, graduates of the College of Nursing, Seoul National University have contributed greatly to Korean society as leaders.
